A great interview by Business Next with Taiwan Startup Stadium mentor Steven Ho, founder of companies acquired in the 2000s by eBay and Yahoo. In 2014, he founded 91App, an e-commerce company that enables stores to easily open their own online shops. In March, 91App raised US $9 million in series A funding.
On facing criticism, he says:
“I love it when others criticize what I'm doing. I'm very happy to receive criticism because it shows there is room for improvement. If it demonstrates that my concept is flawed, I will acknowledge the flaw and immediately make it right. The company focus needs to be on results, not on my saving face. My 'face' alone isn't important -- having our company ultimately succeed is what gives me 'face'."
